The Resilience Retreat

“You are not born with a fixed amount of resilience. Like a muscle, you can build it, and draw on it when you need it.”

Sheryl Sandberg

The Resilience Retreat is an immersive, transformational experience for women who want to go from stressed to refreshed.

You will leave the retreat with clarity, focus and a renewed motivation for your life.

The retreat is a blend of psychology, yoga, reflection and practical tools and techniques to help you live your best life.

Location - The Glaramara Hotel, Borrowdale

Who is the Resilience Retreat for?

Women who feel they are heading for burn out and need to stop and take back control of their life.

Women who feel like they need a clear plan to re-assess their life and set some powerful actions and goals.

Women who need the time and space to step out of their busy lives and set time aside for them.

"You are never too old to set a new goal or dream a new dream." CS Lewis

Your Retreat Leaders

Caroline Dakin

Caroline has over 15 years’ experience of delivering training in large corporate organisations, both nationally and internationally. After spending much of her career working in busy and varied people development roles for both the financial services industry and a national property company, Caroline established a training company specialising in developing emotional and physical resilience.

She has worked with some of the UK’s largest companies and brands to deliver development programmes at all levels. She draws on her own experiences, neuroscience and positive psychology to deliver unique workshops which inspire long-lasting behaviour change.

She is qualified in a wide range of psychometric assessments and an accredited member of the British Psychological Society.

Ainsley Harris

Ainsley is passionate about helping people to improve their mental health and well-being through the practice of yoga and breathwork. She established her own yoga business so that she could focus her energies on her core values and achieve a better work life balance as a busy mum of three young boys. Her teaching methods help to combat stress and anxiety.

Her classes are centered around mindful movement, building strength and flexibility. The core breathing exercises enable you to calm the nervous system and embrace a more mindful state. You will feel inspired and relaxed after her teaching but most importantly you'll leave with a range of methods to help you stay focused and maintain a calm state in everyday life and stressful situations.

Psychometric Profiling

In order to get the most out of the 2 days and to raise your own levels of self-awareness we will be asking you to complete two psychometric reports prior to attending the resilience retreat.

1) DiSC Personality Profiling

DiSC is a personality profiling tool and is the market leader in personality profiling. DiSC identifies communication preferences, motivators and stressors and helps you to understand why you behave like you do. When we fully understand our personality we can identify our strengths and also what could be holding us back from living our best possible lives. Feedback received from DiSC profiling is that it is eye-opening and empowering.

2) The Resilience Questionnaire

Resilience is an individual’s capacity to adapt positively to pressure, setbacks, challenges, and change to achieve and sustain peak personal effectiveness. An essential quality for enhanced job performance in today’s world. This report will measure your current levels of resilience, identifying areas of strengths and development.

You'll receive your reports at the Resilience Retreat.
